Since the EVs are a new technology for the majority of demographics to understand the pattern of acceptance of emerging technology, below is the Technology adoption curve which state that once a new tech crosses the Chasm, it can have higher chances to succeed.

For the purpose of the study we went through online resources & tried to understand the design of existing wall chargers of different companies like Tesla, Ather, Chargepoint, Evo Charge etc. the unboxing videos on youtube helped us to understand the user experience of the charger and installation process through which the user goes through.

User Interviews

We reached out to EV owners who own EVs of different capacities the range of the EV capacities varies from 2013 Mahinda E2O to Tesla Model 3, they shared the experiences and issues they are facing with their current EVs in terms of charging.
User Persona
Based on the interviews and research which is we created 2 personas with the required details which are failing under our domain of target audience which is generally those who are enthusiasts, can afford an EV and are ready to adopt new technology.


User Journey Map
To better understand the process of interaction of users with the charger we created 2 persona s to be placed in 2 different scenarios one is accessing the charger in a personal garage and another one is accessing it in a parking area.
